Hi and welcome to our blog!
Cool that you managed to stumble upon us. Why
don’t you stay a while and join us on our little adventure?
You may wonder now: „What the hell is this all
about?“ Well, you might not be able to tell from the title, but here two German
college girls are reporting from their trip to Japan . Our love for the country,
its people, culture and food is calling us into the country of the “rising sun”,
quasi “into the morning sun”. That’s what the title says!
This being said, it won’t be your everyday
vacation! Being die-hard and hard-assed fans of public transport, we’ll be
relying on busses, trains and all our other helpful friends of the mass transit
to travel the country. Our motto will be “low budget” and “super independent” as
we explore even the more remote areas of the country.
You will, in case you decide to follow us on
our mad zig-zag route, not only
experience the country from a more affordable side but also from a side you
won’t be seeing on your typical holiday package. What awaits you here are more
than just regular updates with a few pictures but instead detailed reviews of
different accommodation facilities and places to eat next to reports about the
country, its culture and its people. And rest assured we love all of that, so
we won’t cut back on details!
Here you’ll find videos, interviews, and photo
series from our trip, so you won’t only be able to marvel at the beauty of
Japanese culture and nature but also get some impressions of everyday life and
without any doubt the “clash of cultures” as two gaijin girls hit the road. Fun
times await you, so it’ll be worth your while to stick around!
But where to, exactly? We’ll start out at the
lively city of Osaka , travel on to the ancient
capital Kyoto and then once across the Inland Sea . From there our trip leads us into the
“Japanese Alps” and finally we’ll wind up in Tokyo .
Ab 15. März geht’s los, der Morgensonne entgegen!
So if you’ve always wanted to know about how to
spend a night in an authentic ryokan or how to relax in Japan’s most famous
onsen, where okonomiyaki tastes the best, how cherry blossoms scent while
strolling down a matsuri, what kind of inner peace a Zen garden can grant you,
where to have an all-night party in Tokyo or what’s the latest craze in
Harajuku street fashion…well, then stay tuned! It starts March 15th,
off we go into the morning sun!
AntwortenLöschenLiebe Grüße an euch beide,
Anna-Lisa
